Dogs Portal is a Swedish community of dogs. Purebred, mutts, large or small - all are welcomed. Users can upload photos, dog videos, write their own doggie blogs, buy virtual dog gifts, rate photos, search for dog pals and much much more!
 So, it's a community site, but it's not so simple. It's not a community of People, it's a community of Pets! Every registered user can have any number of dogs added to his dogs' Family. Each dog has it's own profile, photo galleries, videos, wall entries, list of friends, etc, etc - everything a basic community has.
Dogs' Videos can be uploaded Or embedded from any other video site, like, for example, Youtube. All uploaded videos are auto-converted (using FFMpeg tehcnology) into a .FLV streaming format and are played in Flash video player. Visitors can also take the video's code and place it on their websites for free.
There are communities on the site. A community is called "Breeder page" here. A breeder can make his own events, managing them in a kind of calendar. A breeder can add his own photos and videos galleries, has his personal wall, etc.
 Like in other communities, dogs can get friends with each other. You can check your friends' latest updates, see who is online and of course, exchange online messages with each other.
There is a dogs breeds encyclopedia on the site also. All breeds are listed in alphabetical order and you can read and browse pictures of any breed.
The Experts area lists several Dogs Experts, who you can always ask any question regaring your pet, and get an answer in the site's private messageboard.
